Thorn collects information you provide when using the platform, including:
- Session audio recordings uploaded for transcription and analysis
- Client names and session metadata you enter
- Facilitator login credentials (email and password)
- Generated deliverables such as process maps, opportunities, and executive summaries
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Transcribe session audio and generate AI-powered analysis
- Create process maps and identify automation opportunities
- Produce shareable deliverables for your clients
- Authenticate and secure your facilitator account
3. Storage & Security
All data is stored in a secure PostgreSQL database hosted on infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. Session share links use unique cryptographic tokens with configurable expiration periods. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plain text.
4. Data Retention
Session data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may archive or delete sessions at any time through the Thorn dashboard. Archived sessions can be restored or permanently removed upon request.
5. Third-Party Services
Thorn integrates with the following third-party services to provide its functionality:
- Deepgram — Used for speech-to-text transcription of session audio. Audio data is transmitted securely and processed in accordance with Deepgram's Privacy Policy.
- Anthropic (Claude) — Used for AI-powered analysis including process mapping, opportunity identification, and executive summary generation. Conversation data is transmitted securely and processed in accordance with Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
